Currently located in Hamilton, Ontario, Alan was born
and raised in northern England.
After graduating as an engineer in the mining industry he changed his career
path and joined the British police.
In the mid-1960's he emigrated to Canada where he joined the City of Niagara
Falls Police, later the Niagara Regional Police. His career was varied and included a time as an instructor at the Ontario
Police College. He rose to be a senior ranking officer of the police service.
On leaving the police he spent several
years as an investigator with the Ontario Ministry of the Environment (MOE), followed by a period as the Provincial Prosecutor
in St. Catharines, Ontario.
For the past number of years Alan has functioned as a Traffic Court Paralegal in the
Niagara, Hamilton, Hadlimand, Norfolk and Halton areas.
Alan and his wife have five children and eight grandchildren.
